Man arrested for attempted murder; victim survived multiple gunshot wounds

A 27-year-old man was arrested yesterday for attempted murder after he allegedly shot up a vehicle over the weekend.

The Lafayette Police Department reports that Robert Felix, 27, is charged with two counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder. They believe he opened fire on two victims who were driving in the 900 block of East Simcoe Street.

Only one person was injured. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, but survived.

Felix was booked into the Lafayette Parish Prison.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
