Man arrested in connection with DeQuincy shooting

A man has been arrested on attempted murder charges in DeQuincy.

On August 21 at around 8:30 a.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to 451 Mid Road in DeQuincy regarding a shooting.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim had been shot by Bryan D. Dyson, 20. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in stable condition. A motive for the shooting is not known at this time.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Anti-Crime and Tactics (ACT) Team was dispatched and set up a perimeter surrounding the home. They quickly located and apprehended Dyson without incident.

He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.

His bond is still pending.
