BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Nearly a year after the original incident occurred, a Baton Rouge man was arrested for the alleged rape of his neighbor.
According to the arrest report filed by the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the victim contacted law enforcement on Oct. 25, 2012. She told deputies she suspected she had been raped and went to the hospital for an exam.
The victim admitted she had consumed a large amount of alcohol the night before, but did not have any memory of going to bed. However, she woke up in her bed without any clothes on and had physical pains.
The rape kit was compared to the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS), which returned a match for Kevin Wayne Guillory, Jr, 21.
A warrant was issued on March 14, 2013 to obtain Guillory’s DNA.
“He refused to make himself available and comply with the search warrant, so the warrant information was entered into the NCIC,” the arrest report noted.
On Sept. 12, 2013, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Livonia Police Department. They informed deputies that Guillory was in their custody due to an unrelated matter.
“They collected the DNA as ordered by the search warrant and surrendered to the EBRSO on the same date,” the report noted.
Guillory was questioned by deputies and admitted to having sexual contact with the victim.
“Guillory said his friends and he joined the victim, who was his neighbor and with whom he was not very familiar, on her porch while she was drinking alcohol,” the report explained. “After the victim consumed a large bottle of Taaka vodka, Guillory and another neighbor carried her to her bedroom.”
Guillory confessed that he and the neighbor both completed intercourse with the victim. He also admitted that it was possible the victim “did not know with whom she was having sexual intercourse.”
The name of the additional male was not provided in the report.
Guillory was arrested and charged with Simple Rape. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. His bond was set at $20,000.
