
HOUMA, LA (FOX44) — A 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man in the head with a butcher knife during an argument.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on Saturday, Nov. 10 shortly after 6:00 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the 3500 block of Friendswood Drive in reference to a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a man bleeding from his head.
Reports say the victim, as well as witnesses, could not speak English very well. However, they learned that the 42-year-old man had been stabbed in the head with a butcher knife. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Deputies recovered a weapon at the scene. They eventually located a suspect hiding behind the apartment complex building where the fight occurred. The victim identified the suspect as his attacker.
Ninh An Phan, 60, was arrested for Aggravated Second-Degree Battery. He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. His bond was set at $25,000.
