Man crashes car, receives DWI; later arrested on drug charges after threatening deputy
HAMMOND, LA — A man was arrested during the early morning hours of Tuesday, July 2 after a public disturbance on Lisa Dr. in Hammond led to the discovery of a considerable amount of illegal narcotics.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a black male and a female standing outside of the residence. The female stated that Titus Addison, 37, had taken her vehicle earlier that evening without permission and wrecked it. Addison additionally received a DWI as a result.
At this time, Addison was angry and aggressively approached a deputy with a closed fist while verbally threatening him. Seeing this, a second deputy detained Addison and placed him in custody.
Subsequent to arrest, Addison was searched and three clear plastic baggies containing 20 lortab were located in his front pockets.
While continually making verbal threats, Addison, 37, was transported to the parish jail and charged with Disturbing the Peace and Possession With the Intent to Distribute CDS II.
