Man flips girlfriend's vehicle after forcing his way into her workplace

A Thibodaux man has been arrested after he took his girlfriend’s car while drunk and flipped it into a ditch.

On June 17, around 3:00 a.m. Tyrone Jackson, 24, showed up to his girlfriend’s place of work in the 300 block of North Canal, intoxicated.

The victim took her keys from Jackson since he was intoxicated, and attempted to lock the door behind her.

Jackson forced his way into the business, and grabbed the victim as she tried to get away, taking her keys.

Jackson then left the scene in her vehicle, but not before breaking the glass section of an office door inside the business.

Police soon located Jackson in the 100 Block of Tiger Drive, after he flipped the victim’s vehicle several times in a ditch on LA Hwy. 3266. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Jackson was charged with for Unauthorized Entry of a Business, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Domestic Abuse Battery, and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
