Man shot multiple times walks to gas station for help after suspects take vehicle

A 22-year-old man is in the hospital after he was shot multiple times by two unknown men, who fled the scene in the victim’s car.

The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident occurred at around 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10. It happened somewhere in the area of Hwy 19.

Officials say the victim managed to walk to a nearby gas station where he was able to call for help. EMS arrived on scene and transported him to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.

Officers began investigating and were able to locate the victim’s vehicle. One of the occupants of the vehicle has been detained for questioning. However, no arrest has been made at this time.
