Man wanted in connection to double shooting turned himself in

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on April 13, 2013, Earl Johnson, Jr.,accompanied by his attorney Charles Brumfield, turned himself in to Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives.

Johnson was wanted in connection to a double shooting on Friday near the Livingston Parish and Tangipahoa parish line.

Johnson is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Around 12:40 p.m. Friday, Livingston Parish Detectives were notified of a shooting on Ed Brown Road - just west of the Tangipahoa Parish Line, in Albany.

Two people were shot and transported to local hospitals for treatment.

Darryl Patrick, 46 died due to multiple gunshot wounds.

The other shooting victim - identified only as a 44-year-old black male - was shot multiple times. He is listed as stable at a local facility.

Detectives said no motive has been determined.
