Mother, daughter arrested after causing disturbance at Blue Bayou Water Park
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A mother and daughter from Houma were arrested after they allegedly caused a disturbance at Blue Bayou Water Park and hit a deputy after he attempted to remove them from the property.
According to the arrest report the incident happened on Monday, Aug. 5 at roughly 7:25 p.m. The deputy was working extra duty at the park when he was contacted by management regarding a disturbance.
The officer was told that the suspects, Kashia Lynn Leboeuf, 17, and her mother Leslie Foret Leboeuf, 36, were involved in a dispute with another party, and they wanted the mother and daughter escorted off the property. The women disputed the claim.
The deputy complied with the request of the park manager and began to escort the mother and daughter from the property.
“They began yelling about other family members in the park that they needed to find,” the arrest report noted. “[I] told them the other family member who was present and not causing a disturbance could go find them.”
The deputy claims the mother, Leslie, began cursing at the deputy and said “I don’t care about cops.” The deputy repeatedly asked the two to leave the park peacefully, but they allegedly refused.
“[I] placed [my] hand on the back of [Leslie Leboeuf] and attempted to forcefully remove her from the park when [Kashia Leboeuf] pushed [me], stating ‘Don’t touch my mama,” the report noted. “[I] then attempted to detain [Kashia] when [Leslie] pushed [me] and wrapped her arms around [me].”
The deputy then attempted to place both women under arrest. Kashia Lebouef allegedly kicked the deputy in the legs.
Both were arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Resisting an Officer, Entry/Remain After Being Forbidden, Battery of a Police Officer and Disturbing the Peace. All of the charges are misdemeanor offenses. Bond was set at $7,000 each.
