NOPD releases video of Second Line shooting; possible suspect

Investigators have released new video footage and an image of a suspect who is believed to be responsible for the shooting on Mother’s Day that injured 19 people, including 2 children.

The New Orleans Police Department released the video on Monday, May 13. It shows the chaos that ensued after shots rang out during a Second Line Parade on Sunday near Frenchman Street.

Two additional suspects are also believed to be connected to the crime.

Mayor Mitch Landrieu is calling on witnesses to step forward with information to help solve the crime. He said this is one of the worst shooting incidents the city has seen in years.

The victims include 10 adult males, 7 adult females, a 10-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy. All of the victims are expected to recover from their injuries.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrests and indictments of those responsible.
