Peeping tom arrested on multiple charges

A Houma man is behind bars after spying on a family's 15-year-old daughter and breaking into a home later that night.

On September 29 shortly before 9:00 p.m., Houma Police responded to the 200 block of Glenmore in reference to a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they contacted the victims who stated a male suspect entered their residence and kicked the door open to their 15-year-old daughter’s bedroom.

Once the victims noticed him inside their residence he immediately departed on foot.

As the investigation unfolded, law enforcement received information that a white male was looking in the victim’s bedroom window prior to this incident.

While on scene, officers observed the suspect in the victim’s backyard and immediately took him into custody. He was identified as Richard Baker Jr, 20.

Baker was arrested for Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling, Peeping Tom, Indecent Behavior and Simple Criminal Damage to Property. He was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex to be booked and jail on the aforementioned charges.
