Police search for suspect in fatal shooting on North Sherwood Forest

Officials have confirmed that the coroner has been called to the scene of a shooting on North Sherwood Forest.

We’re told one person was found shot to death at around 11:00 a.m. in the 2100 block of North Sherwood Forest.

The Baton Rouge Police Department is handling the investigation. They have not provided any additional details at this time. However, they said they are currently searching the area for a suspect.

This is the 27th homicide investigation for the Baton Rouge Police Department in 2013. Currently, 13 of those are still under investigation.
