Sheriff launches 'Operation No Show' in Ascension Parish
ASCENSION PARISH, LA (FOX44) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is stepping up efforts to catch suspects who skipped out of court dates.
Major Kevin Hanna said the APSO is bringing in extra deputies to help with the problem. Hanna is calling the new strategy “Operation No Show.”
When someone is arrested on criminal charges, they are entitled to a bond. If the person bonds out of jail, they are given a notice to appear in court on a certain date.
When the person does not show up in court on the assigned date, a bench warrant is issued for their arrest.
The ASPO needs your help in finding the following individuals:
Erica Jones (31) of Gonzales is wanted on a felony bench warrant for simple burglary.
Taylor Latil (18) of Gonzales is wanted on a felony bench warrant for simple burglary.
Christopher Sanchez (24) of Gonzales is wanted on a felony bench warrant for simple burglary.
Javier Salazar (24) of Donaldsonville is wanted on a felony bench warrant for theft and attempted theft.
