Sheriff seeking man wanted for Attempted Second-Degree Murder

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s detectives are looking for a man that allegedly shot and injured another man on Saturday at approximately 4:41 p.m. on Coy Avenue.

Detectives have a warrant for Ismael Ibarra, 27, of Gardere Lane for Attempted Second-Degree Murder.

According to reports, Ibarra had a verbal altercation with another man over a female. Ibarra allegedly shot the man and fled the scene. The injured man was transported to the hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
