Shreveport man faces $2.5M fine if guilty of distribution of child pornography charges

A Caddo Parish man has been arrested after authorities allegedly found child pornography in his home.

On July 11, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence of John Foster, 21, of Shreveport. The warrant was the result of an ongoing Operation Child Watch investigation into the distribution of child pornography over the Internet.

While at the residence, investigators also discovered marijuana and a handgun.
Foster was arrested and booked into the Caddo Parish Correctional Center for 50 counts of Possession of Pornography Involving Juveniles, Distribution of Child Pornography, Simple Possession of a CDS and Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a CDS.

If convicted, Foster faces up to a $2,550,000 fine and from 255 to 1,000 years in prison without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
