BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A store employee was shot and killed during a robbery attempt earlier this evening.

The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to Tire Discount on Plank Road at around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19. Witnesses say a customer walked into the store and discovered the man, then called police.

The victim has been identified as a store employee, but the name has not yet been released.

Homicide detectives are currently seeking a suspect.
