Suspect arrested for shooting a man in the face in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A 22 year old man was shot in the face early this morning and police have caught the man they believe to be responsible.
The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to the 4700 block of Shelly Street shortly before 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14. When they arrived they found the victim in the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the face.
We’re told that the victim was watching two females who were fist fight in the yard. That’s when they say the suspect, Lee Michael Williams, 24, of Baton Rouge, shot the victim.
The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. His condition has not changed.
Williams was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. He is charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.
