LAKE CHARLES, LA (fox44) — When officers instructed a suspect to drop to his knees, the suspect allegedly responded, “Come and make me.” His request was granted.
“At this point a Lake Charles Police K-9 was deployed and successfully brought the suspect to the ground allowing Officers to make the arrest,” Mark Kraus, Deputy Chief of Police, said.
It all started on Friday, May 24 shortly before 10:00 p.m. Officers were dispatched to disturbance at a home located in the 1900 block of Alvin Street in Lake Charles. When they arrived, they immediately heard a loud ruckus.
“Officers heard the sound of glass shattering and observed [the suspect] standing on the front porch,” Kraus said. “Officers noticed that all of the windows on the front of the residence were broken out.”
That’s that point when officers instructed the suspect, Joseph Iles Hudson, 39, to drop to the ground.
Hudson was arrested and charged with Criminal Damage to Property (over $500.00) and Resisting and Officer. His bond was set at $3,000.
