Thibodaux: High-speed chase ends in head-on collision, no injuries, 2 arrests

Thibodaux Chief of Police Scott Silverii reported the arrest of two men following a car theft and high-speed chase.

Officers stopped Graylin William’s vehicle after they observed it speeding in the middle of Tiger Drive.

While police were speaking with Williams, his passenger Jodeci Green hopped into the driver’s seat and stole the car.

Green sped away, leading police on a high speed chase that ended when Green crashed head-on into another vehicle.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Deputies then chased green on foot, before taking him into custody.

Police found an AK-47 inside of the vehicle. Both Green and Williams were placed under arrest.

Jodeci Green, 21, of Thibodaux, was arrested for Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Resisting an Officer, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Violation of a Firearm Free Zone, and No Driver’s License. He is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on $136,050 bond, and a Department of Probation and Parole hold.

Graylin Williams Jr., 31, of Thibodaux, was arrested for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Violation of a Firearm Free Zone, and Traveling on Wrong Side of the Road. He is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on an $85,050 bond.
