Three men were arrested after crashing a stolen vehicle during a police pursuit, officials say.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office reports that it all started at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 3. We’re told deputies were contacted about a possible stolen vehicle in the area of O’neal and Old Hammond. When they went to investigate, the suspects tried to flee.

Officials say the driver of the vehicle sped up, but eventually crashed into a vehicle on Old Hammond Highway near the intersection with Gloria Street.

One suspect was quickly apprehended after the crash. The other two attempted to run away on foot, but they were eventually caught.

All three men will be charged with Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Aggravated Flight from an Officer.

The names of the suspects have not been released at this time. However, we will update this link as soon as that information is provided.
