Ascension Parish, La — Two men and a woman have been arrested on multiple drug charges after the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office found a meth lab in St. Amant.
Deputies executed a drug search warrant at the residence of Heath Trabeaux, 40, on May 24. Trabeaux, Joseph Stonkus, 42, and Avice Sanchez, 32, were all inside the residence.
During the search, narcotics detectives located a methamphetamine lab. The occupants of the residence were removed and the Sheriff’s Office Hazardous Materials Unit was dispatched to the scene to remove the meth lab.
Detectives, in protective clothing, searched the residence and located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a sawed off shotgun. Stonkus and Sanchez also had active warrants out for their arrests.
Trabeaux was charged with Creation/Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession With Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession or Dealing in Unregistered or Illegally Transferred Weapons and Possession of a Firearm While in Presence of CDS.
Stonkus was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Creation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Domestic Abuse Battery and Simple Assault.
Sanchez was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, Creation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Contempt of Court.
