TPSO arrest 2 for fight involving knife
HAMMOND, LA (FOX44) — Tangipahoa deputies have reported that two people were arrested in Hammond after a fight that led to one person being cut with a knife.
On Tuesday at 7:45 p.m. police responded to a disturbance in the 1900 block of Lee Hughes Road in Hammond. Upon arrival, they learned that an argument between several people had turned physical. Two people were injured.
One suspect, Shakira Gilmore, 24, of Hammond, allegedly cut one person in the stomach area with a knife. The injuries were not life-threatening.
Gilmore was charged with aggravated second degree battery.
Elvian Bryant, 26, of Hammond, was also arrested and charged with simple battery.
