Assumption Parish authorities have arrested a man and juvenile that burglarized homes in the Bayou Corne area.

On July 6, residents reported several items missing, varying from jewelry, electronics, and food, to miscellaneous yard items.

A concerned citizen contacted the Sheriff’s Office and said she had received property that she felt may have been stolen. Deputies were able to track down several different residents and were able to verify that the items were in fact stolen.

The investigation led to the residence of two subjects who live in the same neighborhood.

Billy Gros, 18, was charged with two counts of Simple Burglary and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center; a 14-year-old juvenile was also charged with two counts of Simple Burglary and booked into Assumption Parish’s new Youth Detention Center.
