Two arrested for burglary after GPS leads detectives to stolen electronics
SCOTT, LA (FOX44) — Investigators used GPS technology to locate stolen electronics and subsequently the individuals believed to be responsible for the theft.
The Scott Police Department was dispatched to a residential burglary shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. When they arrived the victim told officers that several pieces of electronics had been taken from the home located in the 200 block of Fenetre Road.
Utilizing tracking features, investigators were lead to a home located in the 500 block of Scottsdale. They recovered the stolen items and arrested Quentin Decuir, 24, and Corey Carson, 19.
Both men were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for charges of Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling. Bond was set at $15,000 each.
