TANGIPAHOA PARISH, LA — Two separate burglaries and a subsequent arrest led authories to home where stolen property, weapons and drugs were found.
On August 20, deputies responded to a residential burglary on Stafford Road in Tickfaw, where an Ipad and Xbox 360 was reportedly stolen. While authories were at the Stafford Rd. residence, another burglary was reported on Garafola Rd.
In the second incident, the homeowner and a suspect engaged in a physical altercation. The victim was able to provide the suspect's name as Zachary Kinchen, and gave a vehicle description.
Kinchen was detained on Hwy 1064.
The burglary unit was then notified of both incidents at which time they immediately responded and took over the investigation. As a result, confessions were obtained regarding both incidents.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 15506 Highway 1064. Upon execution, detectives recovered numerous items that were reported stolen, various types of prescription medication which were not in prescription bottles, suspect marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and two suspected stolen firearms. Detectives also seized $2565.00 in currency and a vehicle.
Kinchen, 23, of Tickfaw was charged with Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, Unauthorized Entry, Simple Battery and Outstanding FTA Warrants. His bond was set at $33,000.
Brandon Viola, 20, of Ponchatoula, was charged with Unauthorized Entry, Simple Battery and numerous FTA Warrants. His bond was set at $8,000.
Brandie Grayson, 31, of Tickfaw, was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of CDS I, II and IV, and Possession With the Intent to Distribute CDS IV. Her bond was set at $88,000.
Travis Jones, 34, of Tickfaw, was charged with numerous FTA Outstanding Warrants. His band was set at $6,500.
