Two women arrested for allegedly helping to plan 2012 murder of BR man
BATON ROUGE, LA (fox44) — Two additional suspects were arrested today in connection to a murder that happened a little over a year ago. The first arrest in the case occurred over the weekend after a fugitive was captured in Michigan.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that Tressie Newberry, 40, and Jennifer Prine, 27, were arrested this morning for allegedly assisting in the shooting death of Brandon Harris. They were both charged with First-Degree Murder.
The first arrest in this case happened on Friday, May 3.
Mason Chiapuzio, 19, was arrested by US Marshals in Ontonatong, Michigan. He is currently awaiting extradition.
Investigators believe Newberry and Prine assisted Chiapuzio in planning the murder.
Officials say the case is still under investigation.
