Two women arrested for forging prescriptions

Two Livingston Parish women have been arrested after using forged prescriptions to get pharmaceuticals from an Ascension Parish pharmacy.

On June 3, the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division was contacted by a local pharmacy and advised that Raelyn McAlister, 30, dropped off a fraudulent prescription for Adderall. Raelyn McAlister returned to the pharmacy later the same day to pick up the prescription for Adderall and dropped off a second fraudulent prescription.

McAlister and Adrianna Sweeney, 17, who accompanied McAlister while picking up the prescription, were arrested by authorities. Sweeney admitted to knowing the prescription was forged and that she was going to receive some of the medication from McAlister.

McAlister, of French Settlement, was charged with Obtaining CDS by Fraud, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Adderall), and Attempted Obtaining CDS by Fraud.

Sweeney, also of French Settlement, was charged with Principal to Obtaining CDS by Fraud, Attempted Possession of Schedule II CDS (Adderall), and Principal to Attempted Obtaining CDS by Fraud.
