TX offers $10K reward for most wanted fugitive with ties to Ville Platte

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has added Cory James Fisher, 35, to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives list. The department is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Fisher.

According to TDPS, Fisher is a member of the Gangster Disciples gang and has a long criminal past.

Fisher is currently wanted for possession of cocaine, tampering with evidence, and parole violation.

Authorities say Fisher has ties to the Abilene, TX, area; Ville Platte, LA; and Hot Springs, AR.

Fisher has previously done masonry and janitorial work. His past criminal history includes aggravated robbery, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by felon, and evading arrest.

Fisher is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 195 pounds. Fisher has also been known to use the name Cory Ladey, and he may be known by that name in the Abilene area. He has a full sleeve tattoo on his right forearm and various other tattoos on his chest, arms, and legs.

There are four different ways to provide anonymous tips:

Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
Text the letters DPS – followed by your tip – to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All calls, texts, e-mails and Facebook messages are anonymous.

Police warn that you should not approach or try to apprehend any fugitives. Fugitives are considered armed and dangerous.
