Victim robbed of puppies, cell phone and backpack

 On March 28, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Lafayette Police responded to the 1100 block of Moss Street regarding an armed robbery.

The victim informed police he met with the suspect for the potential sale of two pit bull puppies he owned. After negotiating with the suspect for several minutes, the suspect produced a handgun and stole the victim’s puppies, cellphone and backpack.

The suspect fled the area and the victim was not injured during the incident. The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build.

Lafayette Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
