WANTED: Police identify two suspects in connection to shooting death during robbery

Police have identified two suspects in connection to the shooting death of a 20-year-old man during a robbery attempt.

The Baton Rouge Police Department has issued warrants for the arrest of Curtis Howard, Jr., 18, and Brian Julius Nero, 22.

Investigators believe the two men shot and killed Rayjaun Martin on Wednesday, Sept. 4. It happened in the 10000 block of Big Bend shortly before 11:00 p.m.

They believe the motive for the robbery was drug-related.

This was the 43rd homicide the Baton Rouge Police Department investigated in 2013. Of those, 27 remain open with no arrest.
