EUNICE, LA (FOX44) — A woman’s boyfriend was arrested for allegedly killing her 19-month-old daughter.
The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on Feb. 24, 2013. We’re told deputies were called to a home in Eunice where the child was found unresponsive.
The child was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Deputies noted that the toddler had bruising on her face, head and body.
“After an investigation by our Juvenile Detective Division, it was learned that Robert Henry Miller, III, boyfriend of the child’s mother, had inflicted injuries to the child which ultimately resulted in the child’s death,” Captain Megan Vizena, St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, added.
Miller, 34, was arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder. He was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail where he is currently being held without bond.
