A Walker woman was arrested after she threw cases of beer onto the floor of gas station. She told police she did it on purpose so they would show up to resolve her dispute with her boyfriend.

According to reports, Ashley Shuffler, 23, caused the ruckus in the Race Track Gas Station on Old Hammond Highway. It happened Saturday, June 29 at roughly 2:00 p.m.

A witness told police that Shuffler was yelling and screaming inside the store, and then she took cases of beer and threw them, causing bottles to break.

When questioned by an officer with the Baton Rouge Police Department, Shuffler admitted to breaking the merchandise. She said she did it because she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend and she wanted to make sure the police would come to the store.

Shuffler was arrested and charged with Disturbing the Peace and Criminal Damage to Property. She was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
