Curfews to be enforced in some parishes
LOUISIANA (NBC33) — The following Parishes have enacted curfews or other special instructions due to Hurricane Isaac. We will continue to update this list as information becomes available. Please check back frequently before and after the storm.
- Eunice: Dusk to dawn curfew beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
Assumption Parish: Mandatory evacuation issued. Curfew in effect from dusk to dawn beginning Tuesday, Aug. 28 and will continue through Friday, Aug. 31. There is also a ban on the sale of alcohol.
East Baton Rouge Parish:
- Baker: Curfew in effect beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and will last until dawn. The curfew restriction will remain until further notice.
- Zachary: Dusk to dawn curfew beginning on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. It will be lifted on Thursday at 6:00 a.m.
- Southern University: Curfew of 7:00 p.m. until further notice.
Iberia Parish: The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office will be enforcing a curfew for Iberia Parish from the Hours of 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on August 29.
Lafayette Parish: Dusk to dawn beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
Livingston Parish: Dusk to dawn beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 28. It will remain until Friday, August 31.
St. James Parish: Mandatory evacuation issued for mobile homes, flood prone and low-lying areas located within the parish. A curfew will beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 9:00 p.m. until sunrise.
St. Martin Parish: Curfew beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
West Baton Rouge Parish: Dusk to dawn curfew beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 29.
