ASCENSION PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE — Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Lt. Col. Bobby Webre reports that Barry Nixon,44 of
was ejected from his vehicle on Muddy Creek Road around 8 p.m. Saturday and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Nixon struck a culvert in his Nissan Frontier headed southbound on Muddy Creek Road. The passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
An investigation is pending and more information may become available later.
