DOTD launches program to allow public chance to voice concerns
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will launch a program that will give you a chance to vent your concerns about the state's highways.
“Having local input helps the Transportation Committee to understand where these projects are most needed and how they will impact the local community,” said Representative Karen St. Germain, Chair of the Transportation Committee.
It's called the Preliminary Highway Program, a series of public hearing that will give people to chance to voice their concerns and priorities when it comes to our roadways. The hearings are scheduled ahead of the department’s review of the 20-13, 20-14 budget. That means your concerns could be address before the budget is approved.
“These hearings provide the transportation committee valuable insight into the concerns and priorities in each community,” said Senator Robert Adley, Chair of the Transportation Committee.
