BAKER, LA (FOX44) — An early morning fire caused $150,000 worth of damage to a home in Baker on Monday, Sept. 24.
The Baker Fire Department reports that the fire was called in shortly before 5:00 a.m. When firefighters arrived to the home on Wedgewood Drive, they quickly determined that no one was in the home.
Flames were reportedly coming through the roof at the back of the home. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent homes. However, the main structure is nearly a complete loss with serious damage to the entire home.
No one was injured.
