BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Current Mayor-President Kip Holden has been re-elected to a third term.

The highly anticipated race was close in the beginning. However, Holden pulled ahead of republican candidate Mike Walker and gained a sizeable lead.

Shortly after 10:00 p.m. Walker conceded at his headquarters at the Marriott Hotel in Baton Rouge.
