Family Research Council defends 'traditional' marriages
BATON ROUGE, LA — Here in Baton Rouge, the Family Research Council is defending the traditional definition of marriage, against what it calls a "redefinition."
During a discussion today, FRC President Tony Perkins discussed the Supreme Court case, and gave his opinion on social and economic reasons to support what he calls "natural" marriage.
"It’s a huge overreach for the court to interject itself into this debate when it's being wrestled with democratically,” stated Perkins. “I think what would happen is that the court would inflame a cultural debate that could last for a generation."
A decision is expected from the court in a few month's time.
