IBERVILLE PARISH (FOX44) — Update: All lanes were re-opened on I-10 West at MM 138 (Grosse Tete) around 12:30am.
 

In Iberville Parish state police are working a fatal accident. I-10 West bound is shut down near mile marker 138, People will be rerouted to US 190 at LA 415. Authorities say it happened just before 9pm on the 1-10 near Grosse Tete.

Trooper Jared Sandifer tells NBC33 news it all began when a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-10 when it crossed the median into oncoming traffic in the westbound lanes.

At this point, troopers confirm at least one person is dead as a result of that crash. State police are still on the scene investigating.
