BATON ROUGE (FOX44) - Saturday night First Christian Church in Baton Rouge held an event that could turn wine into water.
It was the "Wine to share, Water for all" event at Churchill’s.
It had a wine tasting, silent auction, and raffle with the church members benefitted "week of compassion", a charity that goes towards making sure others have clean, sustainable water.
Associate minister Laura Phillips said she felt great about a good time with friends, that will benefit so many others in the future.
"It's really neat to know that something that I'm doing on a random Saturday night can make a difference in the life of a person across the world, on the other side, that they can have clean and sustain able water because of something that I've participated in."
