BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — A Baton Rouge home is completely destroyed after a fire last night.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department was called to the home on David Drive shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6. When they arrived the home was completely engulfed in flames.
The fire reached the roof of the home before firefighters arrived, allowing it to quickly spread. The carport was also completely destroyed, along with a parked car.
Firefighters did prevent the fire from spreading to a neighboring home.
No one was injured, but the Red Cross was called out to provide assistance to the family.
The total estimated damage is listed at $115,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
