BATON ROUGE (WGMB) - Baton Rouge residents said no a second time to Mayor-President Kip Holden's tax proposal. The measure was narrowly defeated a year ago - and tonight the no's won by a landslide.
The bond would have improved infrastructure, created new jobs, built new stations for the police and sheriff's office and built a new theme park "Alive."
For many, the main problem with the proposal was the theme park "Alive."
Mayor-President Kip Holden hasn't said if he'll try to get the tax passed a third time.
