HOLLYWOOD, CA (FOX44) – The Republican Presidential candidates are almost like celebrities these days. Their campaigns have practically taken over the media with debates, interviews, and campaign ads. But what do the actual celebrities of Hollywood think of the Presidential race?
With much of the country closely watching the Republican Presidential debates and results from the early primary states we asked some Hollywood celebs for their opinions on the race.
Actor Dermot Mulroney says: “My feeling is it will be Romney and he'll lose to Obama or it will be somebody completely out of left field that we didn't see coming and it will be a challenge.”
Singer Billy Ray Cyrus says: “I'm enjoying it all watching it all go down and knowing that it is up to the power of the people, it's going to be a very interesting year. “
Singer Gene Simmons says: “Get rid of more politicians and elect business leaders, why would a politician know how to run a country, a country is a business and that's our political commentary for today, please tune in next time. “
Actress Octavia Spencer says: “I haven't really been following, because I have one person I want to win and I’m putting my support there, all the other stuff is just noise.”
Comedian Andy Richter says: “I'm a democrat and there's nothing happening that would make me anything but.”
Actress Ginnifer Goodwin says: “I think it's always important that we get out and vote and it's a very tough time for us economically, so I’m Obama all the way.”
Comedian Sarah Silverman says: “Oh my God none of it is funny to me, it's all depressing.”
And just like campaigning for an Oscar, George Clooney thinks it would be fun to see different acting categories debate.
Actor George Clooney says: “I think we should see some of the best actresses up there debating, like Viola and Meryl, kind of going at each other, that would be fun.”
