On first glance, it looks like a scene right out of crime thriller movie.  But make no mistake.  "You just don't know what you're going to find when you get there," said Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps.

This is the real deal. And FOX44 was along for the ride.  "What we're trying to do is just give people the opportunity to put the business behind them; get these misdemeanor charges cleared up, and be ready to roll," he added.

Baker PD and Delta Narcotics task force are knocking on doors for the next few nights, searching for people with outstanding warrants, giving them a chance to admit to their offense.  Officer Adam Procell told us after a search did not find the offender, "It's very common they're not home. Either that or they're in jail, or
they're old warrants, they've moved, [but] for the most part, they're not home."

But rewind to the beginning of Wednesday's chase.  Police had to handle a drug bust first.  Officials confiscated 12 bags of marijuana.  It all happened right off Main street in baker.  Captain Glenn Daniel told us, "[It] resulted in one arrest for narcotics. It was located at his business
It was a move that had one man spending the night behind bars.

FOX44's cameras got to see 3 of the 200 to 300 search warrants carried out. Officials say it's all worth the fight.  "Anytime we can get drugs off the street and make an arrest," said Daniel, "it's good
for the public and for the department."

Baker PD will be conducting the roundup throughout the weekend. If you believe you may have outstanding warrants for any misdemeanor, contact Baker PD at  225-775-6000 or click here for more information.
