The last piece of a crashed plane was removed today from a Baker neighborhood, the FAA announced.

All of the recovered pieces of the King Air 200 will be rebuilt in a facility where investigators will then work to determine what caused it to crash.

The small plane crashed in a residential area just after 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7. The crash is not far from the Baton Rouge Airport, which is where it took off. The pilot, John Fowler of Mississippi, was the only victim. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three homes were damaged during the crash. The plane first clipped the roof of one home, which caused it to lose control and crash into a tree. The bulk of the wreckage landed in the backyard of a home.

The homeowners were allowed back to pick up some belongings on Saturday, June 8.

Investigators have no timeline on when they will be able to determine the cause of the crash.
