NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX44) — The search for Terrilyn Monette, the missing school teacher, has turned up little so far. Investigators hope additional resources could help with tomorrow’s effort.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries was requested to assist in the search by State Rep. Austin Badon. On Wednesday, April 10, the agency will use sonar equipment to search a wooded area where stolen cars have been located in the past.
Monette went missing on Saturday, March 2 after going out for a night with friends in New Orleans. She was last seen leaving the bar at roughly 5:15 a.m. in her vehicle.
So far there are no suspects or persons of interest in this case. Officials have said that locating her car will be the key to unlocking critical information.
Crime Stoppers is now offering a $19,600 reward for information that leads to the location of Monette. Call (504) 822-1111 if you have any information.
