Christopher Pell's trial came to a close this afternoon in Livingston Parish.
It took less than an hour to find Christopher Pell guilty of second degree murder. There was no sign of remorse from Christopher Pell, even after 12 jury members found him guilty of killing his wife, 23 year old Janah Pell.
In April 2007 Pell shot and stabbed his wife while she was working at Popeye's in Walker.
Prosecutor Charlotte Herbert told jury members Pell was upset that his wife left him. He became obsessed and killed her.
For Janah's mother, the quick verdict brings some comfort.
