Raising Cane's is one of the most popular fast food chains in Baton Rouge and now the man behind the box combo is giving back in a big way.
Todd Graves has made millions as the founder and CEO of Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, but he doesn't live like it. That threw producers off when they asked him to be on a new reality show called Secret Millionaires.
Todd Graves says, "We wanna get some great shots of your mansion. They actually said mansion. Well, I don't have a mansion, I have a house off of Hyacinth."
He doesn't have a yacht or fancy cars. In fact, they had to borrow a private jet just for the publicity shots. On the show, Graves and his wife pose as regular folks from out of town. They move into a FEMA trailer for a week and couldn't believe the damage that remains two years after Katrina.
"I mean everything that was normal in these people's lives was completely destroyed and they're looking at it everyday."
But the bigger surprise comes at the end of the week. The couple makes a stunning revelation. They're not down and out, they're multi-millionaires and they're here to help.
"It is the most emotional thing, because it's just the relief of that, but seeing these people that they realize their dream. It's gonna be done. This money's gonna do it. And it's all for other people, it's not form themselves."
Graves said he hopes his appearance on the show will bring awareness back to areas in South Louisiana that still need help.
In the meantime, he'll keep driving his 2000 Suburban with his famous sidekick Cane riding shotgun. Leaving this millionaire's life, perhaps one of the best kept secrets in Baton Rouge.
Secret Millionaire airs next Wednesday at 7 pm right here on Fox 44.
