NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX44) — A terrifying week for family members of a Des Moines woman who never returned home from Mardi Gras has ended on a positive note.
“She was found safe,” Ashley Partee, a long-time family friend, said. “I would like to thank everyone for the tremendous amount of support. I don’t feel like we could have done it without all the support.”
Jessica Pratt, 34, a mother of three children, traveled to New Orleans during Mardi Gras, but she never returned home on Sunday, Feb. 17. Her family traveled to New Orleans to search for her.
Family members tell us Jessica’s brother, Josh Pratt, located her and the two met with investigators at the Eighth District Police Station on Tuesday, Feb. 19.
A Facebook page devoted to the search effort posted that they plan to release more details related to her disappearance later this evening.
“We know everyone deserves answers and we will release that later on tonight. Please be patient with us. The only reason we haven’t released it yet is for safety reasons.”
