Louisiana to honor 9/11 victims by flying flags at half-staff today
BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Flags will be flown at half-staff today in remembrance of those whose lives were lost during the attack on September 11, 2001.
Governor Jindal issued an executive order calling for all flags at all state buildings to be flown at half-staff beginning at sunrise until sunset.
Over the weekend area firefighters held their annual tribute. Firefighters, police officers, members of the Navy and ROTC, as well as blue and gold star families, were part of the crowd that gathered at the USS Kidd Museum Saturday morning.
